The weekly AAII Investors Sentiment Survey came out and the results are stunning. Let’s get this out of the way first. I get it, this poll is extremely flawed. They poll the same group each week, the sample size is about 100, and only their members can vote. With all of that known, I still think it represents what your average investor feels.
The bears surged 59% to their highest level since August 2013.
The last time we saw bulls this low for an extended period of time was the March 2009 lows. The time before that was March 2003. Those were the best two times to buy going back 16 years.
